I believe the command you want is Shift + Enter (I'm like 99% sure that's it).  That'll raise you up in the seat.

shift+enter is right... but if you want a more lasting result, you need to move the eyepoint in the aircraft.cfg

open the aircraft.cfg file and look for the [views] section, there you will find the eyepoint coordinates

there are 3 numbers: x.xx, y.yy, z.zz

you want to change the third value, which is the up/down axis of the eyepoint... this reads in feet, so you just need to add how many feet you want to raise the eyepoint...

save the file, and open FS... it will probably take more than one attempt to get it just right...

remember always to backup your original file... just in case

Right.

To understand this:
Draw a + on a piece of paper. The horizontal line (running from left to right) is the X axis; the vertical line (running top to bottom) is the Y axis; now take a pencil and put the tip on the center of the +. Hold it so the pencil sticks straight up from the paper. That's the Z axis.

Now visualize your seat bolted to that piece of paper. Moving side to side is X axis, moving fore and aft is Y axis, and up and down is Z axis.

Same deal on your joystick, so that might help you someday on axis assignments....
