Hi!

I have downloaded the Waterzone scenery zip-file but I can't seem to get it to work.
I do exactly as the readme-file says but it doesn't work.
I've looked around in this forum but I'm sorry to say I still don't really get how I should do it.

Have you got your water settings on high in the display settings?

You have unzipped everything and put the textures etc into the proper FS9 folders?

What is your video adapter?  Some are not able to show the effects, correct install or not.

That didn't sound stupid, because I admit I'm not very good at this, that's why I'm here :=)

Graphic Card: Intel(R) Extreme Graphics 2
Video BIOS version: 2972

Don't know if that's what you asked for...

Graphic Card: Intel(R) Extreme Graphics 2

I believe that would be the Intel 865 chipset, integrated graphics, which  to my guess does not have the hardware support for the waterzone effects (or the default water effects, for that matter).

Although I dont have the 865 chipset, I did have a system with the 845 chipset and water effects, default or add-on, were not displayed.

Cheers,
Dave

when you speak of 'wave effects' are you talking 'bout shoreline (breakers) effects or the reflection, ripples in open water?

I'm talking about the shoreline.
Ok, I see.
Didn't know about those default water effects that you mentioned there.
But as I sometimes say in Swedish:

"Det man inte vet har man inte ont av"

which means:

"The things you don't know about won't bother you" :=)

Ok, then I guess I have to get a better graphics card then...

expenses... :=)

Thanks for your help!
