Long runways

PHNL Reef runway it's an alternate for the Space Shuttle landings (should be long enough for ya).

It is pretty sad when ya can't do a touch and go at that place, it just wouldn't slow down :(

Posted: Tue Apr 12, 2005 9:40 amArea 51! That had very long runways in the first place - then they extended one of them, nearly doubling the length! that was a beast of a runway... oh no wait, my bad, that place doesnt exist does it..... 
... what is the deal with area 51 these days anywayz. I dont really keep up with US Governmental blunders here in Sheffield, UK.

...varying statements as to it's length are from 6 miles to a wopping 12 miles...think it was made with the thoughts of new aircraft which just might come out but never did........a little OTT you might say....commoner
