It does what the name implies: folds the wings. For example, if you were around for FS2002, the Corsair had folding wings. Also there's a Meljet 777 with folding wingtips to help it fit into smaller spaces.
If you want to check this out, I suggest one of the freeware Corsairs, that way you get folding wings and a great plane at that!

LOL Ok I asked for that one.

I just havent ever seen A plane do that. The insturctions say to get the pushback truck hit wingfold command but doesnt give the wingfold command buttons.

You set the wingfold command yourself. Go to Settings, Assignments, and choose General Aircraft Controls....it'll be at the bottom....I use Control-F (for Fold)

You want to hear something funny about that 767? you have.
YOu can take off with the pull truck attached!!!!! OH man I laughed my a@# off.
I know that the tugs are strong, but I didn't think they were fast too!!!!!!! Fast enough to launch a POSKY 767 right off the end of the runway. It made a funny replay.
Speaking of the corsair, I just got one. OH YA baby, great plane even though it is just hard to fly. It doesn't help that while in the VC mode (that is only mode to adjust it) the aleron trim doesn't work. That is one hell of a thing not to have working in that plane.
But I guess that is what the kneeboard is for, or was it the assignments button. To learn a few more key commands huh?
Take care and have a soft crash landing,
Marlin

I once had a plane with cargo doors that operated with the wingfold command, sat on the ramp I had the door open (wings effectivly folded), anyway I later took off (forgetting the door was still open) So i was screaming down the runway, hit V1 and pulled back on the stick - nothing happened and the plane just went straight off the end of the runway into somebodies living room. The Moral(s) of this story are:
1) Remember to check all doors are shut, preferably before your doing 100 knots down therunway
2) Even if there are no animations, when you use the wing fold function, your wings fold! regardless of what your flying, youre not going to take to the air.
Simple advice I know, but knowing that last week - i wouldnt have ruined that nice ladies wall-paper!
