Is there a way to change the default airport from Seattle Tacoma to something else?

Ya, just create a flight and then save it. In the Save flight window check the  'make this the default flight' box.

Go to main window, select the flight, and again check the 'make this the default flight' box before flying.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
