aircraft missing textures

Hello,

I replaced the video card with a Sapphire 9600PRO (previously I had a GeForce4 MX440) and I noticed that often aircrafts loose textures when I switch to an external view.
With the former video card never heppened.
Also when I'm in the main window the aircraft displayed sometime is just grey without textures.
I have to close and then reopen FS2004 to have everything fixed.
Why so? Is there any setting to correct the problem?
I once read something about that here but I was not able to find the thread.
Thank you, best regards.

Bob

My friend was having the same problem. I posted the question in the Overclocking section but have not received an answer.

Just a suggestion but it could be your video card drivers.

go to start->run->regedit

go to KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management

1.DisablePagingExecutive -double click it and  enter a value of 0

2.LargeSystemCache- ouble click it and  enter a value of 0

they should already be at zero but I was having this problem this morning actually and when I changed these values from 1 to zero it fixed it.

Great Dan...I set LargeSystemCache to 0 and it worked (the other one was already set to 0).
Thank you, regards.

Happy to help washburn

As for N8658W, try doing the reverse, set them both at 1. I'm don't know if this will help, but it's worth a shot, right?  ;)
