Ok up till now when I flew a multiple leg flight from one airport to another then to another and back I just created a new flight plan when I arrived to the next leg. But if I wanted to create one flight plan to include all the airports I'm going to then back. Do I just add waypoints for those airports. Or is the a diffrent way.

Working directly within the sim with no add-ons the only way to do it is to add waypoints by dragging the line over.. ;-)

good question sonic,

i understand your question to be that ONE FLIGHT PLAN; even moving the red line over to desired waypoints, ATC will not direct you for landing at each of those way points so that you can off load passengers/cargo and rest or refuel.  Is it possible to have that kind of manipulation in FS2004, that's the question we ask?

In "create a flight" I select my aircraft etc then click "Flight planner"...After selecting my start and finish airports I click "Find Route" This brings up the map with a line connecting the two which can be dragged to anywhere in between to give you the various places you want to "visit".......save and load this and when you begin your flight open the GPS and it will all be there ready to go.........put the GPS/Nav switch to GPS and the AP Nav hold on and sit back......when you arrive at the final destination your A/C will circle the final airport ready for your landing instructions......commoner. ;)

...If you want to land at each airport in turn then I don't see any advantage in having a single flight plan with waypoints...I'd just do direct to flights to each one in turn....... ;) just my opinion........commoner

Once the FS9.PLN is created the waypoints can be edited to any other coordinates by opening it in Notepad and changing the track . As noted, this will not give landing instructions for these points.
