Water Waves problem (Note :331kb animation)

While flying over the ocean at 35000 feet I noticed some really strange water effects. I had noticed them before. But not to this extent. Looking at the area with the hand. You will notice that the waves go from a very small wave effect to a really large effect. Is there anyway to get rid of this ? Or is this just another fluke of FS9 ?

Either all the same size or a gradual transition ? I have been able to extend the actual area rendered by clicking on extended terrain..

Any comments of help would be appreciated. But please do not reference to the photo above in your comments. It will cause long load time for the 56k's that are still out there....

Thats because, even with "extended terrain" checked, msfs does not render scenery to a high level of detail that far away. At that point it turns into the wierd blurry nonsense you get when flying at 32x speed. I don't think there is a fix apart from going into the fs9.cfg and tweaking (I think). You could try decreasing your visibility to the lowest setting. Other than that, theres not much you can do I think. You can see why it happening if you hold "ctrl" and press "s" and then keep pressing "-" until it zooms out. You can then see the area that microsoft does render to a higher detail below you and the lower level of detail of rendering outside that area.
