I have the Key, but no were to put it. and im finding it hard to find a fix for this as so far all my serches are for aircraft that say you need this regisered file, but don't offer it. I'll keep searching, but if one of you chaps knows exactly were it is, Drop a link and any handy hints you may have Please.  ???

Mr_Spock,

You need FSUIPC. Do you have it? I am running version 3.201. You need this in order to run the radar.

I believe the same version of this file is available here, not sure though.

Here is Peter Dawson's site, the creator of FSUIPC...

http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html

Once you get this file, install it. If you need help from there, email me or post back here and we will get your radar working.

Thanks for the reply, I have it, and use the log in F16.gau  and the DSVT JE5S 6DUO key, but I get a Thank you and restart message and no Joy with the Gauge, I found Pete's reply on this forum.

http://forums.simflight.com/viewtopic.p ... ht=f16+gau

But its still a mystery to that gaug in FS2004.

I run XP pro and have a good medium to high end machine for gameing, I run 2 moniters and Saiteek dual sticks for the thrill, but cant get this radar to blip the other Aircraft, and it seams neither can pete.

The other thing thats said is to purchase a registerd key to open up the workings, But I'm not shelling out dollars if I have no proof of the goods, they should of done a time based application before payment.

Its a puzzel indeed. None of my aircraft or the mobile Tower that use the f16.gauge work in showing trafic, only the radar swipe.  ???

EDIT
unregisterd FSUIPC should run the FREE F16 gauge by Marc Marcianno

What version of FSUIPC are you running MR Spock? Mine works fine and with AIBridge I finally got it to track other acft. online.

I have added that radar to many of my acft. with no problems.

I read on the link you posted that one culprit was a popup blocker program running was causing the error. Are you running a popup blocker? antivirus? or other similar program while flying or trying to access this gauge?

Also noted was that XP SP2 includes a popup blocker and therefore COULD cause problems but hasn't been verified.

I disabled the pop up blocker, to no avail.

744KMpnl was the Air craft setup I installed, it had the gauges and everything was fine.

I then downloaded Mobile Control Tower Version 2004, for a working gauge, but it had the same result.

I then downloaded the FSUIPC:3.47 Application interfacing module for Microsoft Flight Simulator pac, from http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html and was able to access the folder i needed.

I then read and scrutinised this-

Well I down loaded a f16 gauge and now my f16 and mobile air trafic tower radars work.....Yippie !!! ;D. but my 747-400 gauge doesnt?

So as its 3:49 am here in sleepy QLD i'll have to tackle it latter today.

Its a meljet 747-400 QANTAS livery, with the beautiful Flight deck addon because the orriginal has no VC, and the flight deck is photo real. if you load these up and try them you may see what I'm doing wrong. I also run a FlightDeck Sound Effects Panel for FS2004 , and it works fine.

But at least the gauge folder update from pete's site fixed some of the puzzle.

There are some applications (gauges) that come in some panels that use the gauges that will have to use a registered (paid for) version of fsuipc. I do without them, but for some it is worth it. There are plenty of codes Mr. Dawson provides with apps. that were already running as freeware. You can look and see if you have any of these gauges and the code that is needed. He has provided this himself. ** Links at bottom of post.

If you are getting module errors, then you can place an entry in your fs9,cfg (hope you know where it is located). The entry goes down below all the [MAPVIEW_MAP] entries. Here is the entries you need or should have:

[OldModules]
fsuipc.dll=1
fssound.dll=1

The link to the "Codes" page Mr. Dawson provides is here:

http://forums.simflight.com/viewtopic.p ... 9d8448e7ef

If these don't help, post a link to the panel you got and I will check it out. GET SOME REST!!

Wow Cool my friend, I'll post the fix you found so all can also enjoy this great 747-400 flight deck.

Here is your fix:

1] Open the panel.cfg of the panel you are using.
2] Scroll down to the [Window00] section. Now scroll further down to gauge39 and gauge40.

Here you will see this:

gauge39=CPT.F16!Radar Mode,

SPECIAL NOTE!!!!

That fix above is for a certain acft., certain panel using certain gauges. The fix is not a generic fix.

It's a great looking panel, but why all the renaming of gauges I don't understand. Looks like author converted all his gauges to XML gauges. Most of them anyway.
