Float Version of Tiger Moth

Postby Garry_J._Smith » Sun Mar 13, 2005 8:01 pm

Hi Simmers,

Well there is now a float version of the excellent Warwick Carter DH82a Tiger Moth - great for that quick thrill of a flight under the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Image

Several more textures now available for her and a Ski Version coming soon.

I had the great pleasure of meeting a REAL retired Tiger Moth Stunt Flier the other day who was very happy with the realism of the Model and the repaints - I ended up doing 4 liveries for him for the aircraft he flew as Bill "Bent Strut" in his wild flying days - they are also available on the Tiger Moth page.

Just surf to my site http://www.gjsmith.net - click on the Catalogue button and scroll down to the Bottom and you will find the Tiger Moth link to the very many textures and versions.

Happy Simming.

Thanks for the info...getting it ASAP!

By the way, there were some textures for a Texan that your site said were lost...any chance I could get them (I e-mailed you and never got a response...possibly blocked as spam).  Or are they payware textures...?

Also, how do you get the banner to stream out behind you?

Hi Mate,

The Texan Textures were unfortunately all lost in the server change over - I have to check them all, recreate the Zip files and then post them all back to the NEW server.   That unfortunately will be a while - lots to do for that batch.   They are all FREE textures.

Sorry if I missed your mail - I have set up a very agressive pre processing mail engine and some mail gets the axe even before I get to see it - am training it slowly to be less agressive but having a public mail address means that many thousands of e-mails are processed each day - curse of being around for so long I guess.

Regards

Sorry mate I forgot the bit about the Banner.

The Banner option is not available on the current Model - there will be another release of the Banner version and yet another Ski Version for this bird.

At the moment the two IFC versions of this girl (available exclusively from the IFC Site (http://www.ifcblackpool.com)) are the only ones that have the Banner option available at the moment - the Shift T (TailHook) is the deploy and drop key for the Banner for these girls.

No need to apologize...thanks for answering my question and thanks for telling us about this fantastic bird!

...you're sure to have noticed by now Garry that there is a little problem with the naming of the .MDL file ....not the same name as in the model.cfg...just though you might like to check it...and thanks for the aircraft it's a little beauty....commoner ;)

Thanks for the heads up Gentlemen,

That is what you get for working on too many different versions at the same time.

You now know that the Ski Version is close also :-)

Sorry for the error - have fixed it and am uploading the updated file now - should be available in about 15 minutes.

Regards and happy simming.
