Statue ?

Postby z1010 » Sun Mar 13, 2005 3:24 pm

Just realised that's a long time ago that I used the default aircraft of FS 9.

I always fly with aircraft downloaded from simviation: the CRJ-700, Hercules C - 130, A-380. Made by volunteers, I think, in there free-time. And they give me a lot of wonderfull hours!
I download it and fly - never had the possibility to say thanks to them, I don't know who they are.

Moderators: can't we raise a statue for Mike Stone? He made beautifull things. Or maybe a little statue on simviations homepage?

And a nice word to the other aircraft-designers? I can't be the only one who thinks they did miraculous things ...

Well, thanks !

Heya z1010,

I definately agree that Mike Stone should get a statue for the many years he has come through with some really great aircraft.

However, my first thought for a statue would be for Rey Lopez.

It's a very nice thought but if I were to have a statue the size of an Oscar for every freeware developer I would like to thank I would need a 1 mile long mantlepiece to display them all on. I won't post a list here in case I miss any out but this goes back to the early days of FS98 & CFS1 & the guys who pioneered all that we take for granted today. You can always post a thank you note to anyone you specifically wish to pick out in the Designer Feedback forum.
