Turbulance

Does anyone know what the best clime rate is for a Dash 8-100 because in Florida their is always a lot of turbulance blowing me around and I was wondering how to keep the prop stable and not being pushed off course and having upset passengers leaving my aircraft I do know that there are some law regarding wind shear and props because they are effected my turbulance and cross winds more than a jet engine like on the learjet 45 .

Once you're above 1,000 feet they won't be able to leave, brown  :)

I don't know about the Dash-8, but most high-performance twins climb out at about 1,200 feet/minute initially.  A bit less once they get into the 'wobbly' area around 8,000 feet.

The best guide is probably airspeed - keep full power on and adjust the rate of climb to keep the ASI above 140 knots at the least.  If your airspeed is too low and your rate of climb too high, that COULD be why you feel you're having trouble with turbulence.  Is the nose oscillating from side to side as you climb?  If so, lack of airspeed is probably the problem.

Above 3,000 feet don't forget to start leaning the mixture, too.

DHC-8-100 initial rate of climb is 1,475ft/min.All aircraft have a crosswind limitation as well as the airline(SOP) that flys them.i have seen Dash8s land in 30kts crosswinds so the limit would be above that. After takeoff reduce power to 85% for best climb and dont worry about reducing mixture as another has stated  as turboprops dont have a mixture control, only pistons.have this option
Hope this helped somewhat

Thanks for correcting that, Bent-Prop - thought the Dash-8 was just turbo-charged, not turboprop.  One less thing for you to worry about, Brown  :)

So it climes best at 1200fpm and 1400fpm everytime I get up there I start getting really bouncy and the aircraft is going up and down probably because I don't trim the aircraft very good .
