Any ideas as to overide speed limits. For example a DC10 only able to fly at 300 mph. I had a small programme for FS2002 but it will not work with FS9. Any help appreciated.

Wait...are you showing indicated airspeed? If so, you shouldn't ever have a time where a DC-10 is cookin' along at 300 except maybe at 28000 or so. Higher, slower, lower you would never go that fast. If it's true airspeed, that's different.
I believe the program AirEd (available on SimV of course) will allow you to edit it. Someone else could go into more detail, I try not to mess with my aircraft once I get them to the point I like them.

Check your acft.cgf file. If you look down in the Flight Parameters section, there will be a line you can edit for Max Speed or something to that affect. I am not home or would give you more precise directions.
This works to some degree on some acft. but not all. Some acft. you have to get into the air file. But you can modify quite a bit just in the acft.cfg. Back up your original, or as I do, just // in front of the default entry and add your new entry. Example, if the default DC-10 setting is 270 mph then it might look like this:
max_speed=270
Edit it like this:
max_speed=300 //270
The double hash marks basically tell FS9 to ignore this. This way, you don't have a lot of extr cfgs running around and you can easily revert back to the default entry.
(Note: Not sure of the exact title for the entry but you will know it when you see it.)
Hope this helps you out. Have fun!! ;D

lol, yeah, i just turn stress off when i plan to just fly around with no point, like stunt flying, cause i am overspeed so much when i do that stuff, i have gotten to 700 in a 747 doing stunts

and yes, i know i shouldnt go that fast or do stunts in a 747, but it is funny at times
