Hi just quickly , can someone tell me if using duel monitors drags on your framerate ?
I am using the other monitor for fs navigator.

Theoretically it would but I've never done it and only you can tell if your framerates are lower with the dual monitor setup.

I have three monitors and two video cards and have never notices a hit on frame rates. I normally run with the display settings maxed out and can hit over 50 FPS (normally locked at 25).

I use one screen for FS Navigator and the other for radios and nav aids and it works quite well.

Two video cards?! I couldnt get that to work, do they both have to be PCI, should they both be the same kind of card?

I have an ATI X600 in the AGP slot and an ATI 9250 in a PCI slot.

As far as I know the cards have to be the same make or you get a conflict with the drivers.

Set your initial frame rate high, (100). Now using SHIFT + Z, observe your average frame rate throughout the flight, and set your frame rate slightly lower...
This will give you the smoothest flight... ;)...!
Example: Frame rates = 35 to 70. Set it at 30 FPS.

Cheers... ;D...!

Paul.

P.S.
Duel: A competition between individuals.... :o...!
Dual: two off..... ;)...!
LOL...!

I've periodically run dual monitors, and there is a slight hit on frames....nothing major.  Overall though, I usually end up taking my second monitor down because it gets distracting when I'm doing non-sim stuff, plus it just takes up a lot of space.  lol
