When adding a guage to your panel and the read me says to put it were you want it. ummmm ok, what.  the panel.cgf file under [00] I changed the guage to the next guage number in line and the thing shows up in the game but right smack in the middle of my Vertical Speed indicator.  SO is there anyway of knowing were your putting it or is it just trial and error.

Look at all the other gauges in the config file. You'll see a set of numbers after each.

The first two numbers are the starting coordinates for the upper-left edge of the gauge. I there are only those two numbers.. the gauge goes in at default size. If there's a third number.. it's the diameter of a round gauge (or both length and width of a non-round gauge). A third AND fourth number determines the width and length of the gauge.

All these coordinates are X,Y

If you're interested in modifying panels try CfgEdit from the Panel Design section. It can't read the later XML gauges but otherwise works perfectly well with FS9 panels.

I really like this little thing its called runway info it puts a little rectangle box on your panel click it, brings up a little box type in airport code and it shows all the runways ILS, obs etc... then the cool part double click the runway and it sets you freq. for you.

I like that little "RWY INFO" gauge too. Been using it forever.

Added it to all my stock panels and my reworked mini panel.

Very handy little gauge.

That gauge looks good. I might try it myself. If it's in the conventional GAU format CfgEdit should be able to handle it.

...A good idea the RWY INFObut I had a lot of trouble with it...sometimes wouldn't open when I wanted and I found some of the ILS frequencies were wrong....check out Meigs for instance, it put the wrong frequency in for me......You can change the data file of course but how many others are wrong I wondered, so got rid of it...commoner ;)
