Have you transfered the sounds from the POSKY folder into the main fs SOUNDS folder? (it should've done this automatically, sometimes it doesn't)

And make sure to download the VC on that bad boy :P

Heya KDSM,

You are entirely correct in that you are supposed to download a separate Sound file for the POSKY 757-200 called Rolls Royce RB211-535 Series V3 Final (there is a main file and also a small fix file.

If it sounds like a Cessna the Sound.cfg is most likely aliased to the default C182 sound. If you open Sound.cfg in Notepad you will see something like this.

[fltsim]
alias=c182\sound

You can easliy re-alias it to a more suitable sound by changing it to this.

[fltsim]
alias=B737_400\sound

You must use the exact folder name of the aircraft containing the sound you wish to alias to. For more details read my Aliasing article at my Lair. The link is in my sig.

Heya KDSM,

This is what's happening.  When you download and install the POSKY 757-200 the Sound folder that is supplied with the aircraft contains only one file -- the Sound.cfg file (as you have already discovered).

If you open the Sound.cfg file (using MS Notepad) you'll find that it only has one entry:

[fltsim]
alias=Sounds\RR-RB211-535-E4

Since the FS 2004 cannot find the RR-RB211-535-E4 sounds (you haven't installed them yet) most likely it's using the sound set from the aircraft you started the sim with.

Until you install the correct sound file (either by my suggestion or do what Hagar has recommended) your FS 2004 is going to be confused.
