Spot Pan Rate: Calling CFG Gods...

Postby ReverseThrust » Sat Feb 26, 2005 12:49 am

Is there a way to slow down the rate of pan in spot view in FS9?  I would guess there is a value in the FS9.cfg that could be altered to change this rate?
I know where to find the .CFG, but I don't know anything about how it works.

Anybody know what sort of a line entry or specific # I would want to alter to change the pan rate??

Replies much Appreciated!

Are you refering to stopping the "drifting" the camera does (like getting the camera that you have when using spot in replay mode).  If you are, go into view options, click spot view, and unclick "gradual transition".  Now it won't slide around anymore.

FS9.cfg file

PAN_RATE=XXX

replace the XXX with the plan-rate you want to use...;-)

I personally have mine set at about 900 in order to create a more natural head turning movement..;-)

In all these years I have spent flying around in FS, I never knew about that little feature in the View Options menu. ::)
