What sim.
Is this happening in just one plane or all planes?
Are you sure the gauge is set to pick up the ADF signal
some gauges have a switch you need to click in order to pick up the adf signal as they are set to VOR.
Look closely at the gauge you should see two knobs or switches in the bottom left and right hand side of the gauge. On some gauges you have to click this switch in order to change it form VOR to ADF the switches should say how they are set. By default some swithes can not be changed but you will notice the left hand switch will have ADF and the right hand switch will have VOR on it.
