yes, your problem is not the flight deck, but the visual screen showing the outside environment. what you need to do is expand the environment window. just go to the edge of the window and see the <--> icon, and PULL DOWN. it's good to pull it down past the lowest point of the flight deck, to ensure you've got it covered. have fun flying!

The proper way to fix this would be to tweak the SIZE_Y= value in Panel.cfg of the offending panel. This is a typical entry that would put the lower edge of the outside view about half-way down the screen.

[Default View]
X=0
Y=0
SIZE_X=8192
SIZE_Y=2900

Increasing the SIZE_Y= value will lower it. You would need to experiment to get it just right but I suggest a value of 4000 to start with. Don't go above a value of 6150 which is full screen depth.

Why mess around like that when you can fix it permanently? ;)

Try my method. It worked in FS98 so it should work in FS9.

Thanks for confirming that Commoner. Can't say I ever tried it in FS9 but I saw no reason why it would be any different to other versions of FS.
