Kneeboard Problems

My kneeboard opens up but when I go to open a function, FS9 crashes. The message from microsoft is that I am using FS 9.0, when in fact I installed 9.1 long ago. When I open up FS and go to "about flight simulator" it shows that I do have version 9.1.
Should I reinstall ver 9.1? Or how do I go about trouble- shooting this problem?

Thanks,

Chief

I imagine others might have a better solution, but have you tried to delete the fs9.cfg file (search other posts for information on this)?  Many times that can solve a lot of problems.

You have a conflict caused by a file call viewmgr.exe. You most likely have a program called viewport or something like that. Find it and delete and you will have no more problems. It also causes crashes in FS9 for some reason.

Thanks for the information, I found a program called "viewpoint"
I did a google search and found it belongs in a program called "cameraview.class" I have no idea what this program does. I am afraid to delete it because it could cause even bigger problems on my computer.
Can anyone shed light on what CAMERAVIEW.CLASS is all about?

Thanks so much,

Chief

Well it will not hurt your computer to remove it. It is just a photo viewer and serves no other funtion that I am aware of. I removed it from my machine and and have had no problems. It cleared up many of my problems with FS9 and some other programs. It is up to you but there are other flyers that had the same problem and this was the culprit. Good luck with your flights.
