Avsim (
www.avsim.com) has a good selection and by using the option to sort by # of downloads you can find the best packages available at the top of the list

The airbus...I am assuming you mean the Boeing? Not the correct sounds at all, that is one area I really think Microsoft has slacked on. None of their airplanes sound even remotely correct. And you can't hear flaps inside, I dunno why they play those stupid sounds. And they don't seem to understand that pilots wear headsets in smaller planes, so the 172 isn't a roaring diesel truck at 5 feet like the interior of their Cessna sounds

Yeah the flap sound is so stupid? ???
When extending the flaps on the default 737, it almost sounds as if the spoiler panels are extended to the max while you're sitting at the wing...
No, I'll revise that statement, not even that will create the noise the flaps on the default 737 makes ;D

Actually, you can hear the flaps inside most airliners, even in the cockpit. They are just very faint. You can not however hear the flaps inside a cessna 172, 182, 208 or any cessna prop plane.

yeah very very faint, and most of the time drowned in the noise of the air conditioning and EFIS cooling (if required) :)

In all my flying experience I have to say I haven't flown an airliner you could hear the actual flap movements (this is with the engines on I must add, all flap movements in the planes I fly are with engines on). I know of airliners you can hear the hydraulic pumps and ones that make audible noises as the flaps move, but not one where you can hear the things physically moving from a closed cockpit door. However, engines off just sitting there, ya you can hear almost anything moving. (I love doing the first flight of the day check on a 727 because you extend the spoilers and they make this awesome sound that I can't really describe but it sounds really really cool)
