US enhansed scenery

There was a thread here about where are bet sceneries, and a URL was given about General US Enhansed scenery, a very large file to download.

Cannot find it since. any one remembers the discussion?

They also gave one, may be "afcad" which it improved all the dull rwys in FS9.

I don't remember the thread off hand but there are lots of scenery enhancements. Several companies make full coverage USA meshes and scenery texture updates. There's also USA Roads which adds every road in the US except Alaska.

I don't think an afacad file will help the looks of a runway much. Afcad is a utility that lets you edit airports. The effects aren't really visible. They have more to do with parking, taxiing and airport facitlities. May be wrong I haven't worked with the program personally but that's my understanding. There are a lot of airport texture enhancements available however. Just check here at SimV and over at AVSIM.

Best way to find stuff is to just browse the downloads occasionally. You'll find a lot of cool stuff that isn't talked about much on the forum.
