Really annoying when water landing

I recently downloaded and installed the scenery Merrill Pass (the 2004 version). I have landed the default Caravan Amphibian on water many time, however, when I switch to on outside view, it bounces me back up into the air (if I have crash detection turned on, it indicates a crash).
It does this with some other aircraft too...is there a way to fix it?
Help please...

Ooh, that's nasty. Sorry, but no idea. I assume this only happens now when you're landing within the area covered by the new scenery?
Not to change the subject entirely, but your mention of Merrill Pass reminded me of a great book I read called "Flying Cold"; it's mostly about Russell Merrill's career. Ever read it?

No, can't say that I have (but it's now on my to-read list)
This problem happens at a lot of different places...sometimes even in regular water...

Yeah, this sounds like an fs-ism-I have the same problem with several addon planes. It's just one of those things about fs.

Only thing...this is the default Caravan Amphib...
The "bounce" takes place when I switch to outside view (never in the cockpit)...

I think that it could be because the Water Detail level in the display settings is probably on NONE. It would be best to check it and switch it back to Medium or High.

Could it be that when you look outside you land far to hard and crash? Thats what it sounds like to me.

Its just an FS glitch dont worry. My planes do that too sometimes. Even in default planes at KSEA default scenery, they start bouncing on the runway!

I'm already landed and taxiing or stopped when this happens (that's when I switch to the outside view).

I was afraid of that, but I though I'd ask if there was something that could be done anyways...
