Greetings,

I'm hoping you can help me.
I'm going crazy here !!
I can never seem to get the XML Gauges to appear on downloaded aircraft panels.
The ones with .GAU gauges appear fine but not the .XML ones.
What am I doing wrong ? ???

Cheers for any help,
Chris

Hi Chris. There's 2 basic types of XML gauges. The first type is configured in a CAB file like the default XML gauges. These might look like zipfiles but don't extract them. Look in your FS9\Gauges folder to compare with the default gauges. Boeing747-400.cab is one example of a default XML gauge.
Some 3rd party XML gauges are configured in ordinary folders. Both types will contain one or more XML files + BMP images. In both cases they must be installed as they are with their original file/folder names, not the individual XML files. Hope this explains it.

PS. The folder & 2 files in this shot are all gauges.

Ah excellent, thanks Hagar.
That's where I was going wrong.

I've just replaced the panel folder from my original downloaded file (in this case a beautiful Ryan SC-W) and it works a treat.

Thanks heaps,

Cheers
Chris
