Hi,
I have a few basic questions. Ive been flying for a while but i never flew on single play (accept for basic training). And i played single player and i saw some planes i couldnt fly, such as the MD-83. Is it possible to fly those and others, and fly for airlines? And one more stupid question... can you fly with passengers onboard?  ;D tnx

You can download real world repaints for most of the
default aircraft.

You can make the AI planes flyable, I think most of the
needed files are here at simviation. You will need to add
a panel, they to can be found here.

Do a search for the name of the default aircraft you want
to fly.

The MD-83 makes a nice plane and you can use the
737 panel if you like,

Hi MT.....making Ai Aircraft flyable is possible  and may have it's uses perhaps as a bit of fun or to help you to understand how things work a little...they are generally pretty basic models and really just there as part of the big picture....there are so many wonderful freeware designers giving truly great planes for your use that I find modifying the ai stuff not worth the effort....your choice though..commoner ;)

I have modified a few planes that were made for AI. Just added a panel, and sound, with some good results, but you wont have a VC with these airplanes, or any type of 3D views......Also some planes that I have tried to modify just plain would not work, but if I see something I like I will usually give it a try, I have had good luck with a Beech B200, and the Beech Hawker 800 XP. If memory serves me right they were both designed by the same person.  ;D
So the best advice I can give you if you find an AI plane you really like is to put a panel and sound in it and give it a go  ;D
