Can't turn ADF audio off

Hello,
I have an aircraft that when I tune the ADF to a valid frequency, I hear the audio code repeating as if the ADF audio panel button was enabled.  Cycling the Audio Panel ADF button doesn't fix it, the audio code is heard regardless of button position.

Any suggestions to make the audio panel actually control the ADF audio?
Thanks,
Tippy

That is how it is in real life :) There is no volume control on the ADF...

Hiya

Just switch to one of the default planes that has the COMS/AUDIO panel (such as the default Kingair), unclick ADF on it then switch back and resave as your default flight.

Easy as that ;)

Thank You.  I was trying to turn the beeping OFF not control the volume of the beeping.

I'll try the switching aircraft thing, however,
why wouldn't the Com/Audio panel that exists in my problem panel control this feature?  Its the same gage that exists in the default planes (ex: Cessna 182,etc).
Is there a setting in a *cfg file that needs fixed in order for my COM/AUDIO panel to control the ADF beeps?

I'll try other NAV receiver settings to see how wide spread the problem is.  I don't know if it's a *cfg setting problem, a gage problem, or a panel builder problem.

I'm at work so I'll have to try this tonight.
Thanks,
tippy

Look In the cfg file for a section called [RADIOS]

You should find the following lines
\\ radio available,Stanby freq,Has glide slope

com1=1,1,0
com2=1,1,0
nav1=1,1,1
nav2=1,1,0
adf=1,0,0
transponder=1
marker=1
A 1 means on a 0 means off
You can always compare to a default air plane.
Not all radios have a secondary standby freq The Lear 45 is an example so you would have to turn the standby off.
I have seen many a radio panel that in order to change the active freq you have to click on the standby freq. That is caused by a wrong entry in the Nav1 & Nav2 lines. You will probaly see a line like NAV1=1,0,1
Notice the second entry is 0 that means no stanby freq.
so you will not be able to change it and switch over as you should be able to. 8)

Thanks garymbuska, that did the trick.

Under [Radios], I found this entry:
audio.1=0

I switched it to:
audio.1=1  and that fixed it!  Apparently the audio panel was disable with the =0.  I never had a reason hit the COM1 or COM2 buttons because I only have a COM1/NAV1 radio.

Since I only had a COM1/NAV1 radio, Ialso tidied up
my COM.2 and NAV.2 entries (now they are = 0)

Apparently, these were the original settings and some how FS Panel Studio didn't set them up right when I added the extra equipment.

Thanks again for the help.

That's why I said to switch to a default aircraft ...

I did do the switch that you suggested but it did not fix anything.  It did however reverify that the problem was in the "problem" aircraft and not in another.  Switching back to the "problem" plane only reloaded the CFG file for that plane along with the incorrectly set "audio.1=" setting.  Correcting this setting, however, DID fix the problem.

I appreciate you (and the others) for responding to my question.  Thanks for the help.
