Poor Aircraft Textures

Hello fellow flight sim enthusiasts!

I first want to say that I'm VERY pleased to have found this website. It's an excellent resource and this forum has proven very helpful.

... onto business...

I just recently updated to FS2004 which I am liking so far save a few "glitches".

Although it's not the most important consideration in flight simulator, in reviewing some of the posted screenshots (which are gorgeous) I've become aware that for some reason my aircraft textures (on the defaults) in FS2004 are quite poor even when maxing out aircraft quality in the display options. They were crystal clear in FS2002 for me. Does anyone have any idea why this is so?

I'd appreciate any advice I can get!

;) I may be speaking rubbish here but It might solve the problem.

When you launch FS2004 click on settings. Then display. Then click on the aircraft tab then you can change the quality of the aircrafts textures. It might or might not solve the problem.

Hope this solves the problem!!!!!!
:) cheers, loveconcorde

Yeah, I tried that loveconcorde, but it does't do any good. That's why I'm so confused!  ???

Welcome to the forums .

Check out the downloads section ....... there are fixes for some of the default aircraft textures. Some Vid cards don't show them as well as they should hence the fixes.

cheers
