I am an avid aviator. I used to play FS 2002/2004 on my desk top, but recently moved and all I have now is a dell laptop. I installed FS 2004 and it al works great until I select a flight then it loads and the flight opens up for a few seconds then the screen flashes triangle like images. then the blue screen swoops in with some message and the computer turns off before I can read it. Please help if you can.

Not 100% sure, but I think the blue screen has something to do with memory issues, from what I have been told FS2004 requires at least 512 MB of RAM..but like I said I am not 100% sure, maybe someone else can give you the answers to your problem  ;D

naw you don't need 512 mb, im still on my old 256  ;D

It might be your video card... try updating your drivers... if not try reinstalling.

....not only Vid cards cause problems....the Voyetra Turtle Beach Santa Cruz sound card is one known cause of "fatal exceptions"....if you have such a card then turn off the Direct Sound acceleration...commoner...this tip and many other pointers can be found on the Microsoft Support pages.

When you restart the PC, if you have XP, click Submit Error Report. Microsoft's Online Crash Analysis will try and report the cause to you.
