Jminimum throttle aircraft.cfg ?

Postby Reap » Mon Dec 27, 2004 7:58 am

I downloaded a CRJ200 recently but with the engines running the aircraft won't stand still, even with the parking brake on. And with this on, it keeps jumping on the brakes, very annoying, also it wont slow down enough on finals so makes landing difficult.
I assume I just have to alter my aircraft.cfg file but can anyone advise me of exactly which line(s) I need to be tinkering with.

Thank you

Hi Reap......I have an Idea that this might help....I think it was put up by Greycat once...regarding INCREASING the min revs but might be what you are looking for...

1.)  Make a Backup copy of your Aircraft.cfg file for the aircraft in question.

2.)  Open the Aircraft.cfg file using MS Notepad.
Under the file heading [GeneralEngineData] look for a line that reads min_throttle_limit=

Whatever this number is, add or subtract about 0.1 or whatever does the job...commoner ;)

Commoner
That doesnt appear to do anything min-throttle-limit is set at 250000 I altered it as much as to 100000 but it made no difference. I assume this is because its a jet engine maybe, I don't know.

Reap I just looked at the aircraft.cfg and the figure is 0.250000 NOT 250000...did you make it 0.100000 or 100000..some difference there eh ;D commoner

thrust_scalerRe: Jminimum throttle aircraft.cfg ?

Sorry Commoner I meant 0.250000 and 0.100000

actually I nowhave it set at 0.000000 and seems to make no difference.

The setting thrust_scaler under Jet Engines does alter it though I dont know how this will effect overall performance

How's your throttle calibration?

I had a similar problem a couple of years ago...started on one plane and then slowly mulitplied. I found the throttle had slithered out of calibration. :)
