I notice there's 284 pages on this forum, so it's a long way to search though to find what I want to know.
So please, can someone tell me where to find the no cd crack for FS2004, so I don't have to keep disc four in the drive.

Seems to be working, so that'll save the fuss of messing around with that other disk and baking it in the CD drive on long hauls.

Well I did do a site search with the words "no cd". But that threw up CFS2 only. I then tried a few variations like "nocd", "no cd crack" and finally checked FS2004 utilities. When that got me nowhere, I thought it was time to ask.

I looked for it about a month back and it does not seem to exist on SimV anymore for some crazy reason...

It's still here somewhere, see what I can find out..:-)

Excellent call Commoner !  I went to the above link that Indio Black posted and discovered that this downloads the No CD file for FS version 9.0!  That's not the right one.  To get the correct version 9.1 click here:

Download the file titled:

Flight Simulator 2004 v1.10 (build 9.1) [ENGLISH] No-CD/Fixed EXE

Make a backup copy of the original FS9.exe file then Install this unzipped file to the Main 2004 directory.

I almost wore out a CD Drive and disc on the last 2002 version. Now I do not have to open the drive up. Much worse, with my custom computer. I have to swing the door open to even use my drive. But the lights on the front of it are a killer !

Trouble is that this downloads a file with a .rar extension. Since I have no idea what a .rar extension is and Win XP won't open it unless it looks for a particular program, I gave up. What I expected was an .exe file.

Fortunately I haven't patched up FS2004 yet, so the 9.0 patch I have is fine. But if anyone can throw light on how you deal with the .rar file, I'd be pleased to hear about it.

The nocd crack really should be on this site, along with a FAQ about updating and patching. We're all adults here who bought these Sims in good faith and don't wish to ruin our original disks or hard-drives with copy protection designed to foil the criminals. The criminals know how to crack games instantly anyway, so copy protection just gives them a minor challenge. It's the honest users who suffer.

A RAR file is a compressed format just like a zipfile. Most unzipper utilities can extract them. If not, WinRar will do it.

The guys at M$ naturally don't see it that way or they wouldn't spend so much time trying to protect their products against software piracy. The No-CD patch was posted on most FS sites until quite recently. As it now seems to have disappeared it's obvious to me that there's a very good reason for it.

"Game Copy World" is the only site needed for all game related NoCD cracks, cheats, walkthroughs, etc.

It takes a bit of simple navigation to get to the file you need but, it's well worth it!


After entering the server of your choice, navigate to "F" (for flight simulator) VIA the "PC game index" on the right.
