FS9 crashes, restarts computer

Well, after extensive searching, I can't seem to find a solution:

FS9 initially loads, but when I go to select aircraft I get a nasty buffer-type noise blaring out of the speakers and my whole system restarts - I think a bluescreen or something shows up, but it restarts so fast I can't see it.

I haven't added anything to FS since I last used it, which was a few days ago, nor have I changed any system settings:

My system specs are as follows:

AMD Athlon XP 2200+
MSI K7N2G motherboard
nVidia GeForce 4 MX integrated gpu (being replaced with nVidia GeForce FX5500 next week)
512 mb ram (384 system, 128 gpu - again, additional 512mb ram being added next week)
Sound card is not an issue - I never use onboard sound, I use my Edirol UA-5 w/ ASIO drivers
Windows XP SP2
FS9.1

hope that's everything there.  Anyways, this problem is disheartening and quite aggravating, any suggestions would be great.

Alright - I rebuilt the FS9.cfg - which restored the default display sliders - when I went to change my resolution, it crashed again, but this time I saw the warning - it was a BSoD, which I've read is nVidia-related - but it's so cryptic I can't figure out what it's trying to say - I updated the drivers last month, but haven't changed the settings since, and FS worked fine up until this weekend.

I suppose ordering the new vid card was a good idea...

Edit: I did a bit of tweaking so I could see the BSoD: Message as follows:

Code: Select all
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

***STOP: 0X000000D, (OXF7B802F2, 0X00000002, 0X00000000, 0XE0350303)

*** mvmcp.sys - Address ED35DBO3 base at E0302000, DateStamp 4063cf79

I disabled and re-enabled the pagefile, which got me about 3 steps farther - I managed to set the screen resolution and adjust some sliders, but when I clicked OK I got the BSoD again.

Now, I updated the drivers for my Midi controller and my Audio Interface a while ago, which required me to disconnect all USB devices - once I reconnected and rebooted, XP has constantly (and still does) try to install drivers for my old webcam - I have drivers installed already, and there are no new drivers available anywhere, and the ones that were available didn't install properly - is there a chance that this is what is causing the IRQ conflict, or is it a RAM and or GPU issue?

Alright - I got the IRQ issue sorted - it was the elusive webcam driver issues - disconnected it, fs runs now, and I tossed that crappy webcam in the trash, and restored my FS9.cfg...

...only to find that suddenly I'm getting .2 fps with my orignal custom settings that were giving me 30 fps last week.

So... I guess I'm fs-less for the next couple weeks until my new vid-card gets in.   :(
