Well I am basing this poll on Max Settings in the middle of NYC with scatterd cumulous clouds. Rember MAX settings just to keep things uniform.

I want to see what people are getting on their rig so post your Rig and FPS you got in a extremley dense area such as NYC center with maxed out settings. If you are to imbarrased to tell us what you got then at least vote but I will start ad its not gnna be pretty...

Seattle Intl, Default Cessna, Max settings (with AA) on and a decent Res.
SYSTEM- AMD64 3200+
512 mbs PC-2100 RAM
GeForce MX440 64 mb GFX
and I got 2 FPS with heavy clouds and max settings again let me stress this.
I was barley able to take off :o

You know, this really isn't a good reference for performance.  There are so many combinations of harware out there, it's almost silly to think it's capable of telling you anything.

I don't get below 12fps in the most dense areas.  Averagely i get 45fps, and i max out at 110fps in very sparse areas.  This is with max settings. 16xAF, TAA with 6xAA, 1024*768 and 32-bit colour, with all quality settings maxed in the graphics card control panel.

I find some of these FRs staggering and if I'd invested in a 64 3200+ I would be seriously pi**ed off if I was only getting 1 fps. Take a close look at your settings because even running with just a cheeseboard

That is why I asked you post your system specs. I did not want it to be a terribly accurate area as that would be to much trouble to do for all of you, so i gave some simple guidelines and asked you post your specs(if not already in sig) and the FPS you got just so I could learn what people are getting with different hardware configurations ;)

Yeah well it was a huge improvement from my oldm 1.2 Ghz AMD Athlon XP but my RAM and video card kill it :/.

It varies terribly for me. it all depends where I am and what setting - every setting I have it on. Maxed out though it is usually under 10 though.

A 64 bit processor only gives you an advantage with 64 bit apps, don't fall for the 64 bit hype when using 32 bit apps like FS. I get 30FPS average in NYC with all settings max.

With clouds it can be as low as 6 (but without stuttering), without clouds it's over 30 ......

I like clouds ........
I like flying .........
I like a lot of framerates .....

but you can't have it all (at least, I can't).

Agreed 64bit will only give big benefits when using programs for 64bit, but the AMD64 are still worth getting as they come with HyperThreading which boosts FSB from 200 to a theoretical 1000 (same principal as P4's)

With the tweaks I was able to find thanks to Google, I am unable to see my exact fps, but I have been able to estimate them in the neighborhood of 41-50, also thanks to the wonderful information I found online.

Press Shift+Z two times and it will show your FPS!  You dont need to guess it.

Yes your are rite about the 64 bits but for gameing you cant go wrong with AMD and thats pretty undesputed for gamers and benchmarkers, yes they are at lwer operating freqs but yeah... also thaks for the replys :) gives us a rough idea what the FPS are for this game
