If we are allowed to create "backup" copies of the fs2004 software, I don't see the harm in using a NO CD crack to "prevent normal wear and tear" on the cd's.

Granted, that's providing the sim is being used based on the number of licenses purchased.

But that's just me.

Same hear bud, as long as we are not isntalling the game on more than one system I see no harm just gain in the end for both parties as we get more enjoyment when we don't have to find the cd every time, and they don't have to waste pointless time sending out extra cd's to the whole lot of us simmers who would by now have probably gone and busted a cd in the drive, always spooling up whether we use the cd-rom at the time or not.. ;-)

Just my two cents worh, nothing more, nothing less..;-)

I would recomment that you don't worry about finding a No CD CRACK and run the game from an image.  Alcohol 120 and Blindwrite are good tools for creating these images.   You then need a Virtual CD emulator like Deamon_tools to mount the image.  It runs just like a regular CD and you can spare your original the wear and tear.   Despite what the software companies say this is a perfectly legal way to make a backup of your software.
