Making Sim Rate faster with autopilot

Hey

I noticed when on long haul flights (with autopilot on) you can't have a 128x sim rate (its limited to 16x). I'd like tjhat because as much as i love flying, i cannot sit there for more than 3 hours. Even a 64x or 32x would be nice

Anyone know of a program or a way to change this?

cheers

I could imagine, I could be wrong, that frame rates would drop to zero speeding it up that fast.  Especially if you fly thru clouds?

Furthermore, as you fly faster, ATC gives you less time to respond to handoffs and instructions.  At the speed you want, ATC would ask you 3 or 4 times so fast you prolly couldn't answer or slow it down fast enough.

As far as there being a way.. can't say I know that one.

My own personal goal is as much realism as my $50 game will get me...so I always stay with 1x, regardless of the flight time.  The other option would be for you to save the game midflight, I believe.

What I do sometimes is after getting up to cruise, go to the map view and drag the plane along the GPS route to an interesting piece of scenery and continue on from there. I couldn't stay at the PC for more than a couple of hours, so I pause the flight and then do it when I get back to the PC. :-[

Rember you can always leave the PC for a bit and have a break. Not realistic but usefull

Also not necessarily true :)  On a 12 hour flight, each crewmember is entitled to 3 hours of horizontal rest-basically, they get to sleep for 3 hours.  When I do my LAX Sydney route I'll actually take a nap, because I've done the route so many times I know exactly when ATC will be contacting me (there's like a 5 hour ATC hole over the Pacific) Not sure what the hours minimums are though, and I think it's only on a 747.
