Starting up without the opening screen

In FS2002 I made FS so it would open directly into the default flight without the opening (settings) screen. I simply cannot do this in FS2004.

I have tried selecting a default flight.

WEATHER:
Because I still have the typical old telephone modem I used to download weather ONLY ABT. ONCE A WEEK or so (once again in FS2002). I was sattisfied with that since it loaded that weather again the next time I ran FS. Once Again, in FS2004 I have the typical boaring default weather each time I start FS2004.
I have a feeling that this is connected to the above mentioned problem I'm having!

P.S. Could this be because of having an unregistered version of FSUIPC.

Any sugestions!

I'm not sure about your wx question, but I do know that it is possible to set the sim to open to the default flight automatically, unfortunately I've spent probably 1/2 hour just now trying to figure it out..

Don't know what to tell ya, but I'm thinking it is a quick edit of the fs9.cfg file... not sure though..

I haven't tried it myself but you could try changing the value of the fs9.cfg entry I've marked in bold type from 1 to 0. One of 'em should do what you want.

I can't help with the weather problem.

Ah, yes Thanks Hagar, I knew there was a quick and simple edit that would produce the right results for that portion of the problem! :-)

FS9 won't load the real-weather you used on the previous flight by default. However, you may be able to make it load the real weather by either saving your flight when you're done, or by selecting Previous Flight on the Select a Flight page.

THANX GUYS!

I've tried changing the: SHOW_OPENING_SCREEN=1 in fs9.cfg and that's solved all the problems. I knew it would!

*1. FS goes straight into the flight!
*2. The weather is the same as previously and not the  
      default one (without wind, 1013mbar & no clouds)
*3. At it starts off with the system (current) time which it also
     didn't previously!
