Aerodesigns

Hi all....just downloaded the  Aerodesigns Ready-2-Fly (FS9 version) A30 Airbus package which consists of two self installing files...one for the aircraft and one for the gauges.....The simple install went just fine and the aircraft showed up in the FS9 List. All was ok until I clicked the "Fly now" button when I was unceremoniously dumped back to the desktop....no error messages..just rudely dumped ???

 Any ideas please?...commoner. :)

I've had that happen with some aircraft...

Try starting a flight with another one, the change to that one after it loads...

Thanks a bunch Jordonj....guess that fixed  that, or at least it got round it ;D...slight problem now is that the gauges aren't showing :( don't suppose you know why that is.....it's supposed to be self installing...Thanks again..commoner ;)

Hi Commoner. My advice is always the same. Don't trust auto-installers & NEVER extract zipfiles direct to the sim. You would be surprised how many people mail me with installation problems caused by either of these methods which do basically the same thing. Unless the person configuring the files knows exactly what they're doing it's quite possible they will be installed to the wrong locations.

I haven't tried this particular aircraft but in most cases the auto-install can be redirected to a Temp folder. The aircraft can then be installed manually in the usual way.

Thanks Hagar...I'll uninstall it and get it to a temp folder on my desk top first...thanks too for the tip about not unzipping directly into the root folder. ;) It seems like a very nice plane and panel if I can get it to work ok.
.....see yah..commoner. :)

Be sure that there's no copy protection (like that causes the panel to black out).

The downside of tweaking is problems...yes.
