Hi All...

on the aircraft I mainly fly (payware aircrafts), I use the fuelplanners that usually comes with them.
But you want the wing tanks to be filled up first, it increases overall stability (both flight and wing structural strenght).

But if you're overweight
1. Performance is reduced
Takoff and landing distance is increased
ROC and ceiling height are reduced, aswell as range and endurance.
Maximum speed is reduced also.
2 Stalling speed is increased
3 Manouverability is reduced
4. Wear on tires and brakes is increased (We don't have that in FS

...Nexus....thanks a bunch for taking so much trouble with your post....Wow...looks like it's back to the learning curve again...much more to this one little part of flying " as real as it gets" eh?  Thank goodness the tyres are safe...they must cost a packet to replace

Only thing I do know a little about is the effect of moving the CG...having been a keen RC model flyer, with Soarers my "thing" for more years than I would like to admit Just wondered if FS9 covered it that's all.

The wonderful stuff on the post you pointed me to on the Payware section was extremely useful and might (just might, you understand) mean my first venture into payware aircraft .....I've been delighted with the freeware aircraft which dedicated guys so kindly donate and never gave a thought to Payware...guess they deserve their chance too eh
