FlightSim 9 please help me out to install it

Postby F111 » Wed Nov 24, 2004 4:41 pm

Hi guys,
I gort a big problem trying t install the game !
First it said that cd#4 is requiered to play the game.
then I used the fs9.exe that came with the CD#4 (crack folder). It ran but I noticed that there were no gauges displayed on the planes boards. I decided simply to checheck in the CD#2 and found the gauches folder that I copied and pasted in the C:/ microsoft games/FS9
Please help out !

I think that you'll find that the proper format for the path should be

C:/program files/microsoft games/Flight Simulator 9

Try reinstalling in the default folder as above......  that might just solve the problem.

cheers

You may of just had a strange install problem. I had no Lear 45 or Boeing guages show up. I never flew them for that reason. But I finally figured out when the game was installed it did not install the largest .gau files need to have them show up. If you can tell us which ones (planes) do not have the gauges. We should be able to tell you where to find them on CD#2 and how they are named. Then you will just have to install them in the Guages folder. Worked for me, and now I can fly the Lear and Boeing's !

Seems like you misinterpreted the instructions for installation. Yes you will need to have disk 4 in the cd to play the game until you replace the FS9.exe file. However, to do a full install, you have to start with disk 1 in the cd. If you do that now, and select the replace lost files (or similar option) the install program will detect all missing files and tell you which disk to use. :)
