Registry

I think my registry files for FS9 have gone because I can't use FS9 in my username on XP, but I can use it on my sisters! how can I fix this? I've tried re-installing but it didn't work. Please help I'm desperate!!

does it work when starting from the folder you installed it in?

Hi .....could this be something to do with Win XP and not FS9........Look in Control panel/User Accounts for more info re the different types of users when more than one person use a PC.... I think that the Administrator for instance is the only one who can add or remove software and there are other issues. Maybe your sis. is the "boss man" and some settings got changed by accident. Just a thought!...commoner ;)

Another sugestion is to check where the short cut is looking for it at . Just right click on the short click properties than look to where the target is set at.
One other thing you might want to try is to use system restore and go back to when you knew it ran. But beware you will loose any changes you have made to your system or any programs that you have installed since then. 8)

it was my dad who did it, He installed a game on it then it didnt work, so he did a system restore, now I can't access FS9 on my username??? when I start my computer up when it comes to the page where you click on your username it comes up with something about "one or more of the systems registry files has been deleted"
