Minimum landing distance

Arggh, these barren ms reference sheets are starting to piss me off.  I just downloaded some new Key West scenery and I noticed how short the runway was (like 4,800 ft i think) and I got to thinking what the minimum landing distances were for b737, 777, 747, etc.  Does anyone know or have a link?

Depends on the operator, but try http://www.boeing.com

With no passengers and low fuel etc you will get down on a 1000foot strip in a default 747 / 777.

Realistically I suppose maybe 3000-3500feet? I dont know the real stats I am afraid.

I've had the rare chance to actually fly a certian airlines training simulator in Atlanta, GA.   It was the 777-200 and fully loaded with passengers and max. landing weight I got it stopped in the first 4000 ft. at on Rnw 8L at ATL.  and that was a nice easy landing.  Let's just say the instructor for that airline was a tad impressed (And scared that a non-pilot could do that lol)

It's in the FAR/AIMS? Yes! I have a copy of those...

The POH (pilot's operating handbook) gives the TO (take off) distance for given weights. to my knowledge, the landing distance is not given but as seasoned pilots we know it's less-than the TO distance.

hope this helps,

bill

p.s. others are correct re: MSFS -- we're always been able to land a MSFS triple-seven at Meigs ;-)

Yes, I'm perfectly aware it's listed in the POH.  I ask you, where am I going to get a POH for a 777?  I'm still in school so I haven't been able to check the FAR/AIMs yet, but I will soon.

As already note information for ALL Boeing airplanes is available at Boeing's site:

"The graphs in Section 3.3 provide information on F.A.R. takeoff runway length requirements with the
different engines at different pressure altitudes. Maximum takeoff weights shown on the graphs are
the heaviest for the particular airplane models with the corresponding engines. Standard day
temperatures for pressure altitudes shown on the F.A.R. takeoff graphs are given below:
PRESSURE ALTITUDE STANDARD DAY TEMP
FEET METERS o F o C
0 0 59.0 15.00
2,000 610 51.9 11.04
4,000 1,219 44.7 7.06
6,000 1,829 37.6 3.11
8,000 2,438 30.5 -0.85
8,800 2,682 31.2 -1.00
10,000 3,048 23.3 -4.81
The graphs in Section 3.4 provide information on landing runway length requirements for different
airplane weights and airport altitudes. The maximum landing weights shown are the heaviest for the
particular airplane model."

The complete manual(s) for each Boeing aircraft, are online for downloading.

Hope this helps

:) ;) :D ;D

There is no simple answer for this question, I'm afraid, there are several variables U must account in order to have this very answer, ie, runway altitude, load, fuel quantity, temperature, and so on.....
These data can be acquired in the flight manuals and each aircaft has it and each operators can determine inside these parameters, how and how much ft the pilots will have to use (although the pilot himself has the some liberty to "improvise").

Hope I've helped!

cya. ;D

Where on the boeing site?  I checked it and didn't find anything.  And yes Foo fighter, you've helped, even though I already knew all that  :P
