Computer Rebooting

I have been using FS9 for over a year, and about two weeks ago, I can be flying, or selecting an aircraft, or doing anything in the program and suddenly, I hear a clacking sound coming from the speakers and the computer reboots by itself.  I don't know if this has anything to do with MS service pack 2.  When the machine comes back to life, windows ask if I want to send a message to Microsoft to let them know about the problem. I get a reply that probably a driver is missing or corrupted. to be on the safe side, I did a full restoration on the PC (erased it), reinstalled FS9.  I have not installed the FS 9 Patch.  Thiss is very annoying to say the least.  Is any one having this problem out there? :-[

I would recomend you contact M$ about this problem.
It is possable it could be a service pack 2 issue. I have not installed service pack 2 yet. But plan to later on so keep me advised as to what you find out. 8)

My first post and/or reply:   I installed the fs9 patch after installing service pack 2, got the same problem of clacking sound.     Un-installed and re-installed fs9 without the patch, remained on SP2.   Hasn't occured since.
