I am having alot of trouble passing the instruments checkride.  I've flown it maybe 10 times now, and dispite being super careful and following the parameters precisely, I do not pass.  Anybody know what I could do?

From what I have read from earlier posts these are possable but extremly difficult. If you look back through the earlier posts or search for posts on this subject you should be able to find them. I flew the ones that were in FS2002 and did not have that many problems. But from what I have read here in FS2004 these are almost impossable to pass. But there are a few people who has claimed to have found a way to complete these. 8)

You're not alone.  There's a howto available (look on the main page for it)

I just skipped it...gets in the way of fun! ;D (that is the point of playing this game/using this software, right?)

When I 1st started flying in the late 50's, it was fun at 1st, but started to get to be real work, especially when the CFO got me to do it all again and again and again. "Dam this flying thing, it's not all it's cracked up to be." said I. Well, each step along, it got to be harder work, until it became almost automatic. No doubt you've heard of the "seat of the pants" thing? Well, that don't always work, that's why the instruments. Personally, that's why I fly the sim, to hone up the instrument skills, cuz there's no seat of the pants feeling left. Long haul pilots often said that flying was hours of boredom punctuated by moments of shear terror. Stick at the instrument thing and you won't get bored anyway. :)

I wrote a fairly hefty how-to on this checkride over in the help section here.  Getting this thing right is more than just watching your speed, altitude and heading.  Anyway, the how-to will tell you more than I could say here.

Look around. There's tutorials on how to do it. Personally I gave up on the MSFS certifications when I failed five times what I did in the real world on the first try. Still some bugs to work out in the checkrides system.
