Flying on line and ATC

Hello!
I'm going to get an ADSL connection, and will soon be able to fly on line. I have some questions
1. If I fly on line, allong with hundreds of other people. What will happen to the AI traffic that is in the default FS. Won't it be a little "jammed" if I have all this traffic!
2. I've heared that an ATC game also exists with which people can controll the "on line" traffic within FS, i.e. that I can talk directly with someone controlling ATC. If this is true how do I know what areas & airports are controlled by virtual ATC controllers!
Thanx!

First off congratualtions on the better internet connection, I too just upgraded about a month ago and will never go back.... :-)
As for your traffic problem, when in multiplayer the AI traffic is basically disabled so all that are there is the planes from the multiplayer session.
As for the ATC I know the program they use is teamspeak (very easy to use), and I believe they will tell you what frequency to start out at before the flight begins, then transfer you from place to place like in real life.
most if not all of this information is readily available before a flight begins, ie you don't just take off and then try and figure out what everybody is doing.
Also, you may want to check out the multiplayer section down towards the bottom of the main forum page. They have a informational thread locked up top that will give you all kinds of information about mulitplayer setup, etc.
Hope this helps,
Jared
P.S. Once you get conencted let me know and I'll go flying with you somewhere and help you get it straightened out... :-)

The default AI traffic is taken out, so that you only see other multiplayer traffic.

If you're flying online with VATSIM, you should check out ServInfo. Search SimV for it and you're sure to find it. It tells you where all the multiplayer traffic is, and where all the online are. It's an indispensable tool!

Also another excellent place is IVAO...www.ivao.org
They just released some excellent pilot software so ya dont have to use squawkbox, or the FS92SBMP thing anymore......
