Postby Robertw » Tue Nov 02, 2004 9:12 pm

I have downloaded a De Haivilland Tiger Moth and every time I change views 's' on the key board I gat the black screen of death and fs9 shuts down and reboots. Any clues?

What OS are you running?  Anyone else have this problem?

Os is windows XP. I recall that I have had this problem with a Mosquito so I cahnged the panel to that of a DC3 and the problem stopped. I  just deleted the panel from TM file and the problem is solved. I am going to replace it with Curtis Jenny but it would still be good to know the root cause. Regards

This sort of problem is usually caused by a gauge. Which Tiger Moth is this?

I just downloaded the complete Tiger Moth package from SimV and tried it out, it works perfectly for me. Even opens the engine cowl and lets you fly the back seat with or without pilot! I tried the flights too, and found the scenery to be stunning.

John Woodside. I've not tried the Bill Lyons version but I've seen plenty of screenshots. Of the two, John's is the most visually accurate. He actually flies some of the real Tigers represented by his FS models.

The model is Lyn and Bill Lyon's page 20 of 2004 Vintage. The Jenny panel is great although not accurate. The Mosquito that I had trouble with was on page 5 B iv DH 333/HSF. Regards

You're all talking about the same one. Bill Lyons = Custom Classics. I'll download it later & check it out. There's most likely a logical explanation for Robertw's problem. I keep meaning to try it so this is a good opportunity.
