hey

in fear of sounding like everyone else....

what helicopters are you flying is it default or what ?
I fly helicopters in FS and I have a wingman 3d with FF. dont have any problems with any of my choppers.. another place to ask would be at the forum on www.hovercontrol.com ( helo Freaks ;D )

best

There is an excellent Hughes/McDonnell Douglas 500E floating around. You can see a screenshot of it in the freeware forums umder "Cold Weather Rigged"

It has a superb sound file with it

I don't think FS gives a good representation of how you actually operate a helo. You need to have BOTH throttle and collective to properly fly. If you had both you could add power first then input collective, just like a real heli pilot does. I don't know of any way you can alter the control inputs so they function in a nonlinear fashion with just the throttle slider on the joystick. (similar to how you mix collective and throttle on one stick for R/C helos)

Ideally, there needs to be some sort of 'govenor' in FS to maintain constant rotor RPM while the throttle slider is just used as a collective control.
