Display settings?

Postby Midnight_LS1 » Mon Nov 01, 2004 4:33 pm

Hi,
In my FS 2004 hardware display settings, I was given these options:

800x600x32
1024x768x32
1280x1024x32
1400x1050x32
1600x1200x32

and below, it shows this:

800x600x16
1024x768x16
1280x1024x16
1400x1050x16
1600x1200x16

What's the difference between the x32 and the x16 with both having the same resolution? And the benefits?

The 16 & 32 are the bits of color (maybe wrong term)

32 being more, 16 being less

running at 16 might give a slight performance boost but I wouldn't expect much. And 32 will make scenery a little bit more colorful.
Too be honest I really never notice much differance between the two so just try one then the other to see what appeals to you ;)

I have to agree with PIC.  I have altered between 16 and 32 and find very little difference in performance, but the 32 side is much more colorful. ;D
