Just a simple Question

I have always Landed the Boeing 747-400 at IAS: 170. I was just wondering what the regulated Landing speed is.

   Also one more Question. How do I use ADF (Automatic Direction Finder)?

Check your refernce sheet located in the kneeboard.  It's a bit scarce, but it'll give you v-speeds and landing speeds based on weight.  I personally almost never land the b747 with 30 flaps unless its a really short runway, becasue I find the high approach speed casues the plane to float to much on flare with 30 flaps.  But that's just me.  Hit F10 to view the kneeboard (I think it's F10) and click on reference.  You can also print it out through the fs9 folder in the aircraft section.

I'll have to try flaps at 25.  Might have some advantages.

ADF is much simpler than VOR navigation, but it's also a lot less precise. Basically you get the ADF frequency (usually something like 420.4) and put that into your radio stack. Watch the ADF gauge on the panel and you'll see it pointing towards the ADF station.

Try it in a Cessna or a Baron. The ADF frequencies show up in green in FS Map view.
