Posted: Sat Oct 30, 2004 4:54 pmIt really depends on how I feel, how much time I have to spare and a hundred other things. I usually like bush flying but somtimes I feel like getting a little wild and take a military jet up to harass the AI traffic. ;D

I like to make it up as I go. Most times while the sim is loading I'll open a page in my airport directory (blindly) and fly to the airport my finger finds first.
Other times something will inspire me, such as a news story or event I see on TV of a different land I would like to explore.
Many of my recent flights have been routes used in WWII.
The msot recent being Operation Bolero in which was the doom to Glacier Girl, but this time she made it
This is what I love about flight sim, the possibilities are only limited to your imagination! Unlike "games" that once completed there is little else to do.

Posted: Sat Oct 30, 2004 6:20 pmso sorry, i'm the black sheep here, and i'm not a bit ashamed of it.......don't know a throttle from a gps. i just take up one of my favorite beautiful, wonderful creations, (thank-you) and watch them fly and fly and fly around. call me "ferdinand the pilot" and thats no bull........uh oh, the cats outa the bag................cheers vic.

So I'll kill the autopilot and go scream around the mountains (or whatever) until I feel vindicated . . . Then it's back to the original flight. Heck, sometimes I even end up at a completely different airport than was my original destination!

I love the realistic scenery in that area. A mixture of mountains, valleys, lakes and the Pacific Ocean!
After flying the area for the past 7 years I know it like the back of my hand, probably more than the people who actually live there...!
I fly mainly General Aviation, (GA), aircraft with the help of FS Navigator...

...and most of my airfields/airstrips are populated with LAGO FSSE objects...

...and all of this is done with the fabulous FS 2002...!
As well as navigate using VOR's and NDB's, I also constantly communicate with ATC for permission to overfly, land, and take-off, from all the airfields I wish to visit on my daily tour...weather permitting...!
So...
I fly anything from a Cessna 150 to a Beech Baron twin, to a Dh Beaver float plane, VFR only, for short hops, in and out of airstrips/lakes, lasting for a couple of hours...
...and back home in time for tea, and salmon and cucumber sandwiches......!
(..or maybe a bit of over-night camping and fishing with my Beaver...)......!
To me, this is what "Fun" flying is all about...
