Hi all,

How do I change the trim sensitivity? I just have to press the trim up or down button once and the aircraft behaves unrealisticly.

Thanks in advance.

Open the aircraft.cfg file with notepad or similar and look for rudder trim effectiveness and elevator trim effectiveness. there is a figure following there, usually about 1.0     type in a lesser number ie .75  and save the change. This willl reduce the up/down or sideways movement when you adjust the trim from within the A/C. You will have to repeat this for each plane that is too sensitive, of course.

I've set ALL my aircraft to a setting of 0.4-0.6

I find this a very good setting

Most Excellent advice! I was browzing through and read your question and the answers. I was about to junk a plane because I had the same problem. It saved my plane!! (Gulfstream G-100) ;D

If using joystick to control, to reduce the sensitivity globally, go to Settings/Controls/Assignments, locate the 'elevator trim-up/down' assignments and reduce the 'repeat' slider.

Cheers,
