... Hello :D

Just found this forum and I can see myself spending a lot of time on here looking through all the posts. Only just started playing FS2004 and I'm already hooked.  Got as far as the instrumentation checkflight so far :D oh and last night managed my first instrument flight from Heathrow to Bournemouth all on my lonesome using details of frequencies I got off the web ;D

So as a newbie I'l like to ask for any general help/addons etc that you guys think might be useful. I'm sure I'll pick a lot of stuff up by just reading the posts anyway but I may miss things if I don't know what I'm looking for ;)

madmaverick,

Hi and welcome to SimV.

The best advice I can give you is to look aroundat the plethora of stuff here....particularly the downloads sections.

If you're really, really hooked.... don't forget to stop down in the "Homebuild Cockpits" forum now and again ;) .

best,

...............john

Welcome.......

Have a look at the "HELP" and "HOW TO's.  There is a wealth of information there that will guide you.  Everything from installing planes to changing panels and scenery ect... is there.
Have fun with it.

Thanks for all the welcomes. I must say that I'm completely hooked at the moment :D

Already been looking around here and found out some stuff I didn't realize. Like the fact that you can get push backs (I normally just go full throttle through the buildings ;D and didn't realize there was refueling, its more realistic than I first thought).

Definitely going to look at some of the extra scenery files and the extra traffic :) Just looking for nav data now so I can make up some custom flights myself, tried the 747 the other day, was doing great until I tried to land in the airport (an I do mean

Welcome aboard SIMviation!

There is rarely a question that someone cant answer, just sometimes its obscure enough that it might take a little while. Remember too that there is no flight sim question you should consider "stupid" . If you dont know the answer yourself, dont hesitate in asking!

He He He, just added some traffic. Couldn't resist having a low flight over the parked planes at heathrow, don't think they were too impressed when I stalled and landed on the nose of a BA 747 :D :D :D. Just need to figure out how to get it at bournemouth now, seemed really quite when I arrived there after heathrow.

I think I should turn on the crash detection, before I get too many bad habbits, but its too much fun buzzing the tower (or driving through it in most cases :D).

I'm sure I could come up with a hundred questions at the moment but I'll always have a look for the answers in the other posts first, if I cant find the answer then expect plenty of posts from me in the coming weeks :)
